With stars like Ed Sheeran and Tate Mcrae, F1 The Album resumes the time when box office hits had equally acclaimed themes
There was a period in the late 1990s and early 2000s when all successful films seemed to have an equally popular soundtrack, with the songs and first -rate artists almost as inevitable as the action on the screen. Of Titanic and Dusk the Fast and Furiousthe songs released in successful movies often repeated the feat, boosting both artists and even even greater levels.
The same feeling runs through the soundtrack full of stars of the new F1: The Moviewhich has 17 electrifying tracks that reflect the adrenaline of the Brad Pitt. Launched by Atlantic Recordsthe same label behind the recent soundtracks ofBarbie andTwisters,F1 The album presents interpretations to all the steam of artists such as Ed Sheeran, Tate mcrae, Chris Stapleton and Rayewhich deliver new tracks with urgency and invigorating relevance, resulting in an album that advances to the finish line.
The opening of the disc, “Lose My Mind”joint Don Toliver and Doja Cat For an engaging anthem full of synthesizers that prepares the scenery for an exciting journey. The next 16 tracks travel a range range to rock, from Afrobeats to House, but keep a surprising cohesion as a complete album from start to finish.
Among the highlights is the fragmented “Underdog”from Roddy Ricchwhich begins with gentle guitar toes and haunting howls before the rapper assumes control with his characteristic trap cadence. Music is, at the same time, a challenging demonstration of strength and a war cry: “They thought I was canceled, so I spoke and changed channel”rhyme ricch. “I don’t have time to play for insurance.”
Raye Add your groove soul to the retro track “Grandma Calls The Boys Bad News”a track as happy as sweet tea on a summer day. And the star year of Tate mcrae continues with the lively and frantic “Just Kep Watching”which is already a success in the charts and nightclubs.
The soundtrack of F1 It also features conflicting rock ranges from Chris Stapleton and Ed Sheeranthe latter intensifying the power after a series of hits on average and suddenly seems the most committed that has been in a song in years. “Outside the city, now we are changing track/we are eyeing a new beginning”he roars in the vibrant song of Blues-Rock “Drive”.
THE Formula 1 It is really a global sport, with races on five continents today, and F1 The album It is similarly an international event, with special participation of Burna Boywhose music “Don’t Let Me Down” It is an instant success; The British House Producer Pawsawhich launches the adrenaline of “Double C”; and the South Korean DJ PEGGY GOUwhose properly entitled “Dance”It is intended to be touched on the running tracks and Ibiza speakers throughout the summer.
Three acclaimed Nigerian artists receive the last trail tracks, with the Mr. Eazi Adopting a tropical footprint in Alegre “Attention”and the rapper Darkoo bringing afrobeats to the party with “Give Me Love”. Obongjayarfrom the United Kingdom, ends with the fun “Gasoline”which shows the Nigerian singer doing his best imitation of Pharrell while boating that “My diamond is dancing like a dancer / The world is spinning for me, I’m a winner”.
Of course, as in any race F1there are some mishaps on the way. Don Dolla led the audience to delirium when going on stage “Liv On The Grid” at the Las Vegas Grand Prix recently, but his partnership with NATHAN NICHOLSON Here it seems to have been surpassed by other artists on the album. In the same way, “OMG!”from Tiesto and Sexxy redcan not awaken much spark.
“Messy”from Rosein turn, it is the only ballad of the album and continues the year of solo success of the star Blackpink. Your supplicant voice and confessional letters – “You and I are as tangled as these sheets”she declares in the first line-add emotional weight to the album, but the slow pop-rock song seems to be displaced in a list of ready-made tracks (said, the song of Rosecompose the soundtrack of a particularly moving moment of the movie).
And although the Porto Rican star Myke Towers approach your roots in the rap with “Baja California” (which features samples from the 90’s hip-hop duo, Black Sheep), he is the only Latin artist on the album, a surprising absence considering that the Formula 1 Now it has two Latin pilots and over 150 million fans in Latin America alone. With the great awards of Mexico and Brazil yet to come this season, the soundtrack would have been an ideal opportunity to animate the races with some more bands in Spanish and Portuguese.
Still, there is no denying the appeal of F1and the new movie will only boost the popularity of the sport. In the same way, F1 The album will certainly please both movie and music fans, with their selection of artists injecting power – and star The soundtrack enough to make her an exciting experience from start to finish. Electrifying and inspiring, F1 The album It brings back the age of the soundtrack soundtracks.
