On Wednesday at the cinema “Khudozhestvenny” there was a spectator premiere of the action comedy “Killer Montage” (Coupez!) directed by Michel Hazanavicius. The film is out in theaters today, August 4th. Among the star guests who attended the premiere were Nonna Grishaeva, Irina Bezrukova, Maria Andreeva, Natalya Bardo, Marius Weisberg, Grigory Kalinin, Alina Nasibullina, Maria Shumakova, Irina Khakamada, Vlad Lisovets and others.

The plot of the film takes place in an abandoned building where a movie about zombies is filmed. In the midst of filming, an ancient curse suddenly works, and madness begins to happen in the frame: the actors have to fight real zombies. Allegedly, zombie horror is gradually unfolding in a completely different direction, including elements of parodies of sitcoms and films about shooting.

I’ve wanted to write a comedy about filming for a long time. Over the years of working on the site, I saw a bunch of examples of very unusual and funny behavior of people around. I have experienced many shootings – sometimes they were light and funny, sometimes touching and even sad. The set is the backbone of my film, but in real life it is a kind of exaggerated micro-community where the characters often perform in the most amazing ways,” says Hazanavicius about the process of making the film.
