A 40 -year -old Brazilian who lives in Woburn, in the state of Massachusetts, was sentenced to prison for the sale of False legal resident cards, the so -called “green cards”, framing social insurance cards and illegal entry into the country of the United States.

Liene Tavares Debarros Jr. was sentenced by the United States district court to five months in prison, followed by two years of conditional freedom. After that, it is subject to deportation.

According to a declaration by the Department of Justice, the Brazilian was arrested and indicted in March of this year. In May, he said he blameed the accusations. The sentence was announced last Friday 27.

The investigations against him began in 2024, after the complaint that Debarros Jr. would have sold counterfeit documents.

At the end of that year, he even sold social insurance cards and falsified green cards to the masked police. In a research in their home, the agents have still found three social insurance cards, as well as false documents by the Brazilian himself.

Debarros Jr. had also been deported to the United States in 2010, but a little later he returned to the country and lived illegally.
