We also know that he shared his wife’s religious beliefs and that he, like her, believed that all forms of sexual intercourse were sinful. One night, after a night out drinking with friends, Ralph comes home and rapes Margaret, who becomes pregnant with Carrie.
Shortly before the latter was born, a horrific construction accident killed several men, including Ralph. It is strongly suggested that Carrey’s powers come from his father, and this, supported by a specific part of the novel, has given way to the theory that Ralph White is the multiple identity of Randall Flagg.
Could Randall Flagg be Carrie’s father?
