In a paddock full of international stars, a 100% Brazilian duo stole the scene in the 6 hours of San Paolo: Augusto Farfus and Pedro Jewim. More than sharing the car n. 31 of the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, both share a story of friendship, admiration and learning that started long before Interlagos.

Pedro, at the age of 20, is having an unexpected debut at WEC. The last minute called Timur Boguslavskiy, for health reasons, Curitiba described the opportunity as “one of the happiest news of life” and did not hide the thrill of running next to an idol that has become a mentor – and now, teammate.

“Running in Interlagos has always been a dream since I was a child. I went to Europe at 17 and I never imagined to return to compete soon,” said Pedro. “And sharing the car with Augustus … he was an idol, he became a brother and today is my teammate. He is priceless.”

For Farfus, which brings a consolidated career in the Resistance and a recent 24 -hour Nürburgring victory, seeing the student who occupies the seat by his side is a source of pride:

“Ah, since Pedro said I am an older brother, it’s already very good! Because I was about to say that I was like an uncle for him, right? But seriously … Pedro I have known for a long time. I helped a little in his career, in decisions and I followed the growth.

The veteran also highlighted the preparation and familiarity of the young man with the car: “He knows the car very well, he worked with this model for two years, he knows Interlagos … It was a very simple choice.

Jewish, in turn, lovingly recalls the advice of the “older brother”: “Augustus teaches me from how to pilot breakfast in the right way. I learn so much from him … in addition to being an extraordinary professional, it is an exceptional human being. I respect him in all aspects of life.”

Now, together in the piloting cabin, the two Brazilians bring not only the weight of the green and yellow flag in the chest, but also the responsibility to show the strength of a partnership built with mutual admiration and trust.

“It’s almost like maintaining a family team: two Brazilian pilots, in a Brazilian car … I don’t think there is a better one,” concluded Farfus.

Running from the 17th position this Sunday (13), at 11:30, the Brazilian public will have the opportunity to see this duo in action at the Interlagos track, in the 6 hours of San Paolo for the Endurance World Cup.
