But it was without counting on Netflix. The American platform really spent $ 45 million in order to bring Cameron Diaz to retirement. In return? The actor is obliged to make two films for them.

And a new comedy, one!

So we were expecting the story from this second project and it was done. Next Hollywood reporterCameron Diaz has just signed a game in Bad Day, a comedy made by Jake Simansky (Le Pacquet). She will play a lonely mother who struggles to make her daughter a promise to fulfill her worst day of her life. The film was sold as a comic version of drama Fall Free (1993) with Michael Douglas.

At the moment, Diaz is the only actor attached to the project, but the rest of the actor should be declared quickly. Bad day shooting is planned this fall, presumably with the expected run of 2026.

We do not know that this new film will be full of action, but we hope: from the age of 52, Diaz has confirmed that despite his 10 -year retirement, he could always provide the camera. One thing is sure we are already looking forward to seeing it again on Netflix.
