One of the slow horses in a successful spy series will soon be a new police series star. Jack Ludden, who transfers his properties to the fallen agent of the Mi5 River Cartwight during the five seasons of the program, joins the Berlin trilogy television adaptation actors written by Philip Kerry.
Detective novels that occupy the history of Germany
This cycle of detective novels drives us in Berlin in the 1930s, amid the rise of Nazism. Three works follow the investigation of the Bernie Gunther Detective, a former police officer, dismissed by the Nazis. He led a private detective career and his investigations would lead him to the path to the historical personalities of that time.
Beyond the three tribes, which originally formed the Berlin trilogy, the cycle produced by Philip Kerry finally continued fourteen novels. These results are mostly done during the post -war period, and this time study the first years of the Cold War, but also the German reconstruction after the Reich’s collapse.
The series will not fit the novels by their publication
The series produced by Apple will not fit the novels in order. Thus, the first season will be inspired by the Metropolis novel, which is no one or the latest work of Saga. A choice that respects the chronology of the cycle, as its action took place in 1928 and, therefore, served thirteen other books.
This new series will not affect the broadcast of Slow Horses, in contrast, the series has recently been ordered by the seventh season of AppleTV+, and the program season has not been transferred 5 times.
