The company did not say what caused the failure of the system
The Alaska Airlines resumed operations after the correction of a failure in the IT system that suspended all the flights of the airlines and those of the horizon air subsidiary for about three hours. The interruption began at 0 hours on Monday 21 (Brasilia). There is still no information about what caused the accident.
“While reorganizing our planes and our teams, it is possible that there are still remaining impacts on our flights. It will take time until it can completely normalize our operations,” said the company in a new declaration.
The interruption was confirmed by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
In September last year, the airline underwent a similar drama: the company had to suspend flights to Seattle, the United States, due to “significant interruptions” caused by an unspecified technological problem, which was also solved in a few hours. /AFP
