The Federal Police (PF) arrested on the morning of Tuesday 22, one of the leaders of the criminal organization that exchanged bags of ordinary passengers and placed in cocaine luggage at Guarulhos airport to send to Germany and other European countries between 2022 and 2023.
PF agents met the mandates for the fourth phase of the collateral operation. The other members of the group, from their members of the lower hierarchy and almost all the leaders of the group, had already been arrested.
“The last six months have been dedicated to the location of where this last member are located, the goal of the arrest warrant this morning,” said the PF.
The case generated a great repercussion in March 2023, when two goiânia passengers spent more than 40 days unjustly arrested in Germany after the label placed in a cocaine suitcase.
The release base were the images showing that the luggage were changed during a staircase at Guarulhos International Airport.
At the time, the Video Fantástica of TV Globo showed how two airport employees identify the two bags of Kátyna and Jeanne, a rose and one black, separate and discreetly removes the label in a safety and limited access area that is monitored by different cameras.
In another video, two women arrived at the airport with two different color bags around 20:30. It would be the bags that contained the 40 kilos of cocaine, said the police. The two go to a window of the airline after a sign of the only employee who is on the spot, leave your luggage and then leave the airport, do not embark on any destination. The two bags are brought to the same vehicle in which they are the bags of Kátyna and Jeanne and the exchange is done.
Kátyna and Jeanne were released on the afternoon of April 11, after spending more than a month held in the city of Frankfurt, in Germany. They returned to Brazil on April 14th.
In July 2023, the Federal Police carried out an operation to arrest 18 suspects linked to the drug trafficking regime with the exchange of luggage labels at Guarulhos International Airport.
