F1: Max Verstappen Beat Sprint in Belgium; Gabriel Bortoleto is 9

The world champion four times took his tip on the first lap and no longer lost, despite the pressure of the McLarens

Max Verstappen was the winner of the Sprint race that took place today in Spa-FrancoCorcamps, in Belgium. The four -stroke world champion took the command on the first lap and did not give up on Oscar Pisri’s pressure throughout the race. The victory comes in an important moment for the team, as this is the first weekend of Laurent Mekies to responsibility for RBR after the resignation of Christian Horner.

Even before the start of the sprint, Pierre Gasly from Alpine has already faced problems. The team detected a defect in the car, probably a loss of water, and chose to collect it in the repair boxes. Gasly ended up getting out of the pits, with two laps late. The beginning took place at 7 in the morning (Brasilia time).

The beginning was the protocol. Pisters was still driving in the first corner, but he lost his position in Max Verstappen at the end of Kemmel Straight. Who also took advantage of Charles Leclerc, who took third place from Lando Norris. The other drivers did not pass each other. Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto started well and kept his ninth position.

On the fourth tour, with DRS activated, Lando Norris resumed the third position he had lost against Leclerc. Oscar Pasters also attacked the leader Max Verstappen, but unnecessarily. With this, Norris managed to approach his teammate. Leclerc, Ocon, Sainz, Bearman and Hadjar completed the first eight, who marked on sprints.

In the last lap, both McLarens were less than a second of the leader, Max Verstappen, but he could not overcome the Dutch. Oscar Pasters and Lando Norris completed the podium. The next session of the category is the classification for the Grand Prix at 11 on Saturday 26.
