The Federal Police was at the headquarters of the Brazilian Calcium Confederation (CBF) on Wednesday to respect a research and seizure mandate on the basis of an investigation on alleged electoral fraud in the state of Roraima who would have involved the president of the entity, Samir Xud.
According to the sources of PF, Xaud was the goal of the action because it was an alternation of the Federal Federal Helena Lima (MDB-RR), accused of having purchased votes and appointed main investigated. The investigation began after a seizure of R $ 500,000 in September 2024, on the eve of the municipal elections in the country, with the parliamentarian’s husband, the sources said.
Reuters was sought Xud, but he didn’t reply immediately. Even the deputy did not respond to a commentary request sent via e -mail.
The CBF confirmed in an official note that the PF agents were at the headquarters of the entity on Wednesday and said that the president is not the main objective of the operation.
“The Confederation of Brazilian football (CBF) informs that he has received agents from the Federal Police in his headquarters between 6:24 and 6:52 on Wednesday, in an investigation determined by the electoral justice of Roraima. It is important to note that the operation has no relationship with the CBF or Brazilian football and that the president of the entity, Samir, is not the center to discover.
“The CBF clarifies that, so far, he has not received any official information on the object of the investigations. It has not been taken equipment or material.
The PF agents met ten research and seizure mandates at the addresses in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Roraima. “The Federal Police launched, on Wednesday morning, the Caixa preta operation, with the aim of investigating the suspicion of the practice of electoral crimes in Roraima,” said the company in a note.
According to the PF, the Court has ordered the blocking of over $ 10 million in the accounts of those who investigated for suspicion of participation in the alleged fraud.
Xaud was elected president of the CBF in May after the troubled departure by Ednaldo Rodrigues, who had been re -elected for another term at the head of the entity, but renounced the decision of the Court contrary to him.
