The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is using an unusual strategy to protect the cattle from wolf attacks: scenes from the movie History of a Wedding, starring by Scarlett Johansson (JURASSIC PARK: restart) and Adam Driver (Megalópolis).
According to a report from Wall Street Journaldrones equipped with thermal cameras and speakers are being used in rural areas of the state of Oregon to monitor and ward off wolves. Drone -emitted sounds include fireworks, shots and, curiously, one of the most intense scenes in the 2019 movie – a heated discussion between Johansson and Driver’s characters.
“I need wolves to understand and respond to the message that, hey, humans are dangerous”Explained a USDA district supervisor in Oregon.
The technique is part of a method known as “Wolf Hazing” (something like “wolf intimidation”), adopted after the death of 11 cows in just 20 days. After the implementation of drones with disturbing audios, the number of attacks dropped dramatically: only two deaths were recorded within 85 days.
History of a marriagedirected by Noah Baumbach and released by Netflix, was nominated for six Oscars, including best film, with nominations for the performances of Johansson and Driver.
