‘Rick and Morty’ are back! Well almost.
the sixth season from Adult Swim’s acclaimed show, one of the best sci-fi series ever, opens on September 4 And now the channel’s first trailer for the series has given us a glimpse of the iconic duo back in action.
The trailer begins with a voiceover telling us that “a lot has happened in the last few years“, while showing clips from previous episodes.
Among these throwbacks is a clip of the giant turkey in the sixth episode of the fifth season ‘Rick & Morty’s Thanksploitation Spectacular’, as well as a clip from the second episode of the same season, ‘Mortyplicity’, which featured the family clones.
Among all these images there is an audio of Morty saying “you can’t get over your past, rick“, in a rather sinister way. This leads to the voiceover declaring “Simply put, the universe as we all know it has ended.“as we watch that famous moment from the fifth season climax where President Morty leaves the finite central curve and enters an unknown universe through a yellow portal.
Then the trailer shows Rick and Morty yelling at something or someone outside a spaceship holding a red sign labeled “SPOILER” that covers whoever or whatever.
Or, maybe they’re literally yelling at a red spoiler banner.. You can never tell with Rick and Morty. We will know on September 4.
‘Rick and Morty’ co-creator Justin Roiland, also responsible for ‘Solar Opposites’, recently claimed that season six will bring the show back to its prime following the “strange” season 5 finale of ‘Rick and Morty’. Morty’.
“I think season 6 is… I didn’t particularly think season 5 was bad, but season 6 is amazing. It really is an incredible quality season,” Roiland said.
