Who is Dr. Clovis? Brazilian who won in Paraguay with clinic that combines technology and humanization in service

The Mouns Psychiatrist clinical reference in Ciudad del Este and consolidated in the middle of the health revolution in the near country

He was crossing Borders – physical, cultural and professional – that the Brazilian Clovis Luiz da Silva Das Nees has built a trajectory of overcoming that today translates into one of the most innovative health projects in the Eastern Paraguayan. The Virgen of CaacupĂ© clinic, located in Ciudad del Este, was conceived by him and his wife, Renata snow, also medical, and was consolidated as a regional reference in the diagnosis of imaging, humanized care and strategic use of technology to expand access to quality health.

CLOVIS, born in Rio Branco, Capital of Acre, had already accumulated more than two decades of acting as a clinical psychopydia before migrating to the field of medicine. It specializes in the participation of children and teenagers with Down syndrome, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and learning difficulties.

“These were years of listening, understanding of the pain of families and seeing how care can change life. This experience has prepared me emotionally for everything that would have come later,” he reports.

With the transition from North Brazil to Paraguay, its academic background has been expanded: she graduated in Medicine from the UCP – Universidad Central of Paraguay and obtained a diploma in psychiatry from the UP – Universidad autonomous of Paraguay. It was from this meeting between the previous experience and the medical training that was born the proposal of the clinic. The project was conceived in response to the lack of specialized, accessible and humanized services in the region.

“We thought it was the right time when our professional trajectories aligned with a concrete need of the city. We wanted to offer more than consultations: we wanted to offer listening technology, welcoming and cutting in one place,” explains the doctor.

The clinic offers consultations in several specialties, laboratory tests, ultrasounds and technology applied to diagnostic medicine. All this under an integral approach that combines science, spirituality and full attention to the patient.

With their resources and the continuous work of the couple, the project was erected without important investors. From the beginning, human capital has been treated as a priority: a multi -professional team was established, bringing together doctors with international training and a profound connection with the local community. The physical space and the patient’s experience were designed to welcome the cultural diversity of Ciudad del Este.

“I am very grateful in Esteños for giving me the welcome so well! I really like the Paraguayan people and their culture so rich! My family is adapting very well to the city.”

Innovation plays a central role in this model. Artificial intelligence tools are used to simplify imaging diagnoses, automate administrative processes and strengthen communication with patients.

“We do not use technology to replace human contact, but to improve experience. The goal is to facilitate access and guarantee precision, without losing listening and empathy”, Punta Clovis.

Growth is already a reality on the horizon

The clinic now crosses an expansion phase. A new unit specialized in gynecology, obstetrics and pediatrics will be inaugurated in the coming months. The headquarters will have its own childbirth room and a structure focused on the full health of women and children. The proposal also tries to meet peripheral communities with essential services that are difficult to access.

In addition, his health insurance with lessons at affordable prices and coverage of the medical services of excellence is being developed.

“I think we are able to demonstrate our quality not only for the medical community and the medical market, but also, especially for our customers. Needless to have the best place, the best space, the laboratory studies, if we do not have a humanized service by professionals.”

In the analysis of the Paraguayan health system, the doctor recognizes important progress in professional training and involvement of the new generations. However, he underlines that access to experts and quality diagnoses at affordable prices remains one of the main challenges.

“I studied at UCP and I saw the potential of this new generation up close. Many colleagues graduated with excellence and are changing the reality of the country with ethics and competence, reporting a good future in Paraguayan medicine,” he says.

For Clovis, Alto Paraná has everything to become a medical training center in the country, thanks to the concentration of university, clinics and hospitals. And when the future of the sector is designed, it does not hesitate:

“I see a more integrated system, with preventive medicine, appreciated mental health and intelligent use of technology. But above all, I see more human doctors, closer and closer. This is the transformation we want to drive”, concludes.
