The criminals wore a car with cloned plate, masks, gloves and silicone and cut the internet from the building
Fifteen people accused of joining a band specialized in robbing high -end condominiums were arrested by the civil police of San Paolo on the morning of Tuesday 12, in the capital and in five other cities of San Paolo.
According to investigators, the group is linked to the criminal faction of the PCC and operates mainly in the center and south of the capital. 51 The research and seizure mandates were also fulfilled and two others were arrested during the operation, but because they were free – they have nothing to do with the band, says the police.
The names of the prisoners have not been disclosed. The report seeks representatives of them to comment on prisons.
The investigation began from a robbery to a condominium in Santa Cecilia (central region of SP), on May 13th. Using a car of the same model and a plaque cloned by a resident, the criminals were able to enter the garage of a building located in Rua Doctor Gabriel Dos Santos. Inside, the employees and residents surrendered and opened the gate for the entry of other criminals: they had ten in all, the police said. The gang broke into six apartments and stole jewels, money and electronic devices.
The building monitoring and surveillance system did not work because, one day before, three criminals had cut the internet cables that feed the equipment. The police suspect that the group has received information from people who work in the building.
The criminals, who wore masks, gloves and silicone at hand to avoid fingerprints, fled to the city in the metropolitan region and the police started investigating them.
Tuesday, in operation called Shalom, the civil police arrested 15 accused of joining the group. The prison orders were served in Diadema, Cotia, Guarulhos, Osasco and JundiaÃ. Together with the other two people arrested in the act, the group was brought to the special body for the repression of organized crime (siege).
The band is suspected of practicing at least three other condominium robberies in the capital, from May here. In one of the drags, at least $ 3 million in jewels and electronic objects have been stolen.
