HBO Max has released a teaser for the “Pennyworth” series, to announce that the third season will premiere in October and to reinforce that previous episodes will arrive on the platform this Thursday (8/11).

Until then, “Pennyworth” was shown on the pay channel Epix in the US and exclusively for Starzplay in Brazil.

The series follows Alfred Pennyworth’s (Jack Bannon) youth and shows how he got involved with Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and Martha Kane (Emma Paetz), Batman’s future parents.

Created by Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon, creator and producer of “Gotham” respectively, the series began its plot in England in the 1960s, but will have a time jump in new episodes. “The civil war is over and the cultural revolution has changed the world, for better or for worse, ushering in a new era of superheroes and supervillains,” reads the synopsis of the third year.

The cast of the attraction also includes Simon Manyonda (“His Dark Materials”) as Lucius Fox, who is just a young scientist at this stage, and singer Paloma Faith as the villain Beth Sykes.

It’s also worth mentioning that the first season introduced the world to the talented Emma Corrin as Esmé, Alfred’s love of youth. The actress ended up being anointed as Princess Diana in the fourth season of “The Crown”.
