John Wick 4: Director comments on epic fight scene between Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen

One of the most anticipated action movies of 2023, John Wick 4 promises a great fight scene between Keanu Reevesinterpreter of the title character, and Donnie Yenone of the great names of the genre that has not yet had a role revealed.

During an interview with collider, Chad Stahelski, director of production, offered some exciting details of what’s to come in the fourth film in the franchise. When looking at the various combats in the trailer for the feature, the filmmaker recalled the excitement of filming Reeves and Yen.

“Well, again, the 18-year-old me would have been like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I would do this.’ I mean, I’m not going to lie, I laugh,” he stated. “I would make jokes all the time. It’s like Donnie asked a question, I started to laugh. He was like, ‘What’s wrong with you, man?’ I replied: ‘I’m driving Donnie Yenwhat do you think I’m doing?'”

“So I’m in the middle, you have Donnie Yen and Keanu Reeves, and you’re touching all of them’s hands, blocking things. And you’re like, amazed, because it’s all real,” he continued. Stahelski. “So it always comes down to, can I do the triple kick Donnie Yen. I can do it all, but you also want to do something different.”

So you start to sit down, come out of character and have a lot of arguments with guys saying, ‘Okay, Donnie is amazing at this. Keanu is amazing at that. They’re both great actors, so let’s lean on that and do something we haven’t seen before.’

“So now, that Donnie Yen with a sword and a pistol, [enquanto] Keanu is with a samurai sword and two pistols and playing a AR-15, in a room of glass mirrors with Japanese artifacts. And yes, put some dogs in and we’ll see what happens.” Chad Stahelski.

John Wick 4: Keanu Reeves appears in the first official image; Look

After much waiting, John Wick 4 won first official image with Keanu Reeves featured as the protagonist. The photo was shown by the studio Lionsgate during panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 last Thursday the 21st.

Even with the image, the feature still has several mysteries, such as the official title. the continuation of John Wick 3: Parabellum (2019) was supposed to hit theaters in 2021, but it was delayed to March 24, 2023. See the image below:
