TV 3.0 arrives in 2026, but migration can take years

The president Lula signs on Wednesday (27) the decree that regulates TV 3.0, considered the television of the future. Technology should work at the 2026 World Cup.

It is considered the new generation of free Brazilian open television technology and promises to revolutionize the way we watch TV. The news has already been released in countries such as the United States and South Korea, but is still unprecedented in South America.

The main objective of TV 3.0 is to maximize the interactivity of the TV stations open with their respective hearings. This means that they can release content through streaming from open TV, for example, in addition to games, among others. The broadcasters will be able to have their own Smart TV applications, abandoning the current system of numbers for numbers.

According to the Ministry of Communications, the Internet connection improves experience, but it is not mandatory. If the user is connected, he could have access to electronic commerce and greater interactivity with the services offered. For this, one of the government’s proposals is, in parallel, to increase population access to 4G.

Another advantage of the new technology is the absurd improvement of the image. Digital TV can only broadcast Full HD (1080p), while TV 3.0 allows 4K and up to 8K content (if the transmission is observed on the internet) and the optimization of HDR technology, as well as the engaging sound, which will allow the viewer to choose between listening to the microphone and the singer’s band or increase the sound of the public.
