Members of the United Nations Security Council, except for the United States, say that hunger in Gaza is a “crisis caused by man”

All members of the United Nations Security Council, with the exception of the United States, said on Wednesday that extreme hunger in Gaza is a “crisis created by man” and have warned that the use of malnutrition as a weapon of war is prohibited by international humanitarian law.

In a joint declaration, 14 members of the Council asked for a ceased for immediate, unconditional and permanent fire, the release of all the hostages managed by Hamas and other groups, a substantial increase in aid throughout the Gaza range and that Israel immediately and unconditionally suspend all restrictions on the delivery of humanitarian aid.
