Operation Seed II Commerce Commerce of Pirate Seeds
The Civil Police of RS seized three thousand tons of illegal seeds during the Secure Seed II operation, launched between 26 and 29 August. The action involved agencies such as the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA) and the RS agriculture secretariat, with the aim of interrupting the trade of counterfeit seeds that threaten rural production.
During the operation, the producers were accused of irregular conservation and possession of illegal pesticides, while companies without adequate recordings were penalized. One of the supervised spray planes had an estimated value of 1.5 million R $, highlighting the severity of the infringements.
The work of Dicrabres and Faws covered 14 municipalities, including Júlio de Castilhos, Cruz Alta and Santo âncelo. The seized material was intended for wheat deposits, used as animal nutrition or secure raw material, ensuring the protection of agri -food agro.
According to the delegate Heleno Dos Santos, director of Dicrab, the operation strengthens the commitment for food safety, the regional economy and the fight against illegal practices that undermine producers and consumers in the state.
