“As an artist, I don’t have a fixed contract. I choose my finger at my job. And more and more I want to escape the things I have done and try to do new things. I also want to enjoy life, don’t work like a madman,” he said.
Gianecchini underlined his interest in exploring new formats, such as the series, in particular international productions, and has criticized the lack of daily narratives on Brazilian television. “I want to make more serious. I have never done a series on Globo, for example. And I would like to participate in something like White Lotus, which shows the subtlety of the inner world of people,” he explained. “In Brazil, sometimes we forget to tell simple everyday stories, which are so rich.”
The actor also spoke of his current project in the theater: a piece set in Italy, which incorporates dance and songs from the 1940s. “It is not a musical, but it brings Italian songs. It is a story out of two alone who are found in a day that changes life,” he described. Gianeccini has invested in a multidisciplinary artistic formation, including singing and dance lessons, from the pandemic.
Information on the city, he defined the festival as a space for exchange and connection: “When music touches you, you want to go to the lawn, change with people and have fun together. This is very nice.”
