Increase the rigidity against password sharing

In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery wants to close all the violations that allow several people to use the same account, a measure already adopted by platforms such as Netflix.

Zaslav commented that, despite the continuous interest of the public in the HBO catalog, the sharing of “complicated everything” passwords and it will be the goal of restrictions.

The changes are part of a strategy to increase streaming revenue in a saturated and highly competitive market.

The company seems willing to face criticisms of subscribers and media, giving priority to profitability. For many fans, however, the decision can strengthen the image of Zaslav as a unpopular figure in Hollywood.
