Jimmy Kimmel defeated an appeal of the former New York deputy George Santos, who accused the presenter of deceiving him to make personalized videos in the cameo app and use them to deride the republican now arrested.

A first unstable judge in Manhattan rejected the civil proceedings of Santos against Kimmel on August 19, 2024, on the same day on which Santos declared himself guilty in the criminal procedure of Central Islip, New York.
