The President of the United States Donald Trump has ordered a second attack on criminal organizations which has classified as violent drug trafficking signs.
The President of the United States Donald Trump announced on Monday 15 September that he had ordered a second attack on criminal organizations that he ranked as “extraordinarily violent and narcotist drug -sheds”.
In a publication on Truth Social, he said that the action was conducted by US soldiers this morning while the members of a Venezuelan group carried drugs in international waters in the United States.
Trump said three men died in the attack and that no American force has been wounded. Stressed that, in its evaluation, “These signs represent a threat to national security, foreign policy and US vital interests”. “It remains notified: if you are bringing drugs that the Americans can kill, we are chasing you!” He wrote.
The Republican also stated that the activities of these organizations have caused “devastating consequences in US communities, killing millions of citizens” for decades and added that this “never” will be tolerated.
The announcement occurs after a first attack in the southern Caribbean, confirmed on September 2 by the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. At the time, Rubio said that the ship had moved away from Venezuela and was managed by a drug organizationist organization.
Shortly after the first attack, the president of Venezuela NicolĂĄs Maduro said he “defended the sovereignty of the country” and asked Trump to open the dialogue to avoid a conflict. The increase in US military operations in the Caribbean also led Caracas to raise the tone.
Last week, NicolĂĄs Maduro announced the creation of 284 points of “battle front” with troops, police and civil militias spread across the country. According to him, Venezuela is “ready for an armed struggle if necessary”.
