After personal reflection, Jonathan Ferr releases ‘Home’, album with Marcos Valle and Pedro Bial who explores the true meaning of a home

The musician and pianist Jonathan Ferr released his new studio album, HOMEthis Thursday, September 18, a work that plunges into 11 tracks to explore topics such as memory and belonging. Considered the main Brazilian representative of the Urban Jazzthe artist expands the borders of the genre in his new album, which moves between jazz, hip hop, neo soul and Brazilian music.

HOME reflects welcome and simplicity, revealing a more intimate side of Jonathan Ferr and marking a new era in his career. The design of the project began in 2023, after the death of his father. More than a physical space, the concept of “home” for the artist covers the family, friends, loves and their own journey of self -knowledge. “The home is no longer just a physical home to becoming an expanded concept. It is an ancestral and cultural space from which we came from. It is the state of presence and comfort above all,” he explains Ferr.
