In an interview, the former referee revealed that, for some reasons, he was no longer present in three tragedies and, consequently, of death.
Former CBF arbitration and former football referee Leonardo Gaciba revealed that he is strictly present in three accidents with vehicles, a bus and two by plane. One of them would even be the tragedy with the Chapecoense flight in 2016 in Colombia.
In an interview granted in Fox Sports in 2019, Gaciba recalled the three episodes. Although the cut turned five years, the topic has bombed on social networks in the last few days.
The first episode took place after a game of Gauchão between Guaraly De Garibaldi and Aimoré in 1993. After the defeat of the home team, Leonardo Gaciba was involved in a fight with leaders and fans, he gave a handful to the masseuse and ended up in the hospital.
With this, the referee and his assistants arrived in Porto Alegre late and had to sleep in a hotel in the state capital. However, hours later, the bus that would take everyone, including Gaciba, hit the front and killed eight people.
The second possible tragedy occurred after the CBF changed the date of the match between Flamengo and Paraná, in Uberlândia, for the 2007 Brazilian championship. With the change, the former referee, who was chosen to the duel, stopped taking the flight Tam 3054, who passed the track of the Consgonhas airport, in San Paolo, and collided with a building of his air.
The accident is considered the largest tragedy of Brazilian aviation to date. All 187 people on board died, between passengers and crews, as well as 12 people close to the building, for a total of 199 deaths.
Gaciba has already freed himself of death three times.
One of them would be the flight of @Chapecoesereal.

Finally, Leonardo Gaciba said he was invited by RBS to comment on the final of the Cup of South America 2016, between Chapecoense and Atletico Nacional. At the time of the accreditation, the former judge did not take place in the cabin that the station would have occupied at the stadium of Atanasio Girardot in Medellin, Colombia.
With this, only the reduced journalists have undertaken the flight Lamia 2933, which fell to the outskirts of the Colombian city with the entire team of Chapecoense, as well as to the board of directors, technical committee, journalists, crew and guests. Due to the 71 dead, the tragedy was the largest in history with a sports delegation and the greatest of Brazilian journalism.
