In the 2000s remained active in dramas, comedies and large productions, maintaining constant presence in box office hits.

Willis also released some albums as a singer, the first being The Return of Bruno (1987), as well as pop-blues music, singles and soundtrack appearances. In 2015 he made his debut at Broadway with adaptation of the work Misery.
