Star Trek: Voyager’s Kate Mulgrew offers a great answer to fans’ viral concerns about her visit to the Janeway Memorial

There are many star Trek landmarks in the United States, celebrating the franchise and its characters in unique ways. Not everyone is a fan of the statue, however, and after a worried citizen voiced her thoughts about Janeway actress Kate Mulgrew’s visit to the statue, she shared a great response.

Kate Mulgrew recently revealed that she was going to visit the Captain Janeway statue in October, which naturally caught the attention of the locals. One fan, in particular, wrote to a local newspaper, explaining why they think having a statue of Janeway in the character’s hometown centuries before his birth is problematic:
