The “Saw” horror franchise receives a new film

The longtime horror franchise “Saw” is getting a new movie. The information was released by the Bloody-Disgusting website and later confirmed by the Lionsgate study on its Twitter account.

Although plot details have not yet been released, it is known that the new film will see the return of a veteran of the franchise: director Kevin Greutert, responsible for “Saw 6” and “Saw: The End”.

The new “Saw” will be released in US theaters on October 27, 2023.

Created by screenwriter Leigh Whannell (“The Invisible Man”) and director James Wan (“Aquaman”), the “Saw” franchise has already made nine films and more than $ 1 billion at the box office. The most recent was “Spiral – The Legacy of Saw” starring Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson, released in 2021.
