OH MY GOD! Viola Davis will be the villain in the “The Hunger Games” prequel.

Here’s what you read! This Monday, 15, Viola Davis was confirmed in the cast of the movie “The Song of the Birds and Snakes”, prelude to “The Hunger Games”. All right?

In the plot, the actress will be responsible for the interpretation of the villain Dr. Volumnia Gallia. The character is in fact described as a cruel and creative person, who organizes the tenth edition of the games.

“The ‘Hunger Games’ films have always been honored by their outstanding cast and we are thrilled to continue this tradition with Viola Davis as Volumnia Gaul,” commented Lionsgate President Nathan Kahane.

“His formidable and powerful presence will add layers of complexity and threat to this story,” he added during the announcement.

What we already know about the role of Viola Davis

According to director Francis Lawrence, “Dr. Á Gaul is as cruel as she is creative and as formidable as she is formidable,” he stressed. “Snow’s knowledge as a political operator largely develops from her experiences with her as the most dominant figure in the games.”

“From the beginning, Viola has been our dream for Dr. Gaul because of the intelligence and emotion she brings to each role,” said franchise producer Nina Jacobson.

“A brilliant and eccentric strategist, Gaul is instrumental in molding the young Coriolanus Snow into the man he will become. We are incredibly fortunate to have an actress with Viola’s extraordinary reach and presence to play this pivotal role.”

It is worth mentioning that Viola Davis arrives to add to the cast such names as Rachel Zegler (“Love, Sublime Amor”), Tom Blyth (from the series “The Golden Age”), Hunter Schafer (“Euphoria”), Peter Dinklage (“The Game of Thrones “), Laurel Marsden (” Ms. Marvel “), Jason Schwartzman (” Fargo “), Ashley Liao (” Physical “), Josh Andrés Rivera (also of” Love, Sublime Love “), Mackenzie Lansing (” Mare of Easttown “) and others.
