The fifth season of the “Cobra Kai” series won its official trailer this Tuesday 16, highlighting the return of John Kreese and the anticipation of a possible fight between Daniel LaRusso and Terry Silver.
The trailer reveals some details of what’s to come in the series, with more focus on Cobra Kai’s growing dominance. The revealed images also foreshadow a possible fight between LaRusso and Silver and, right at the end, we have a return of Kreese, who appears in prison.

This appearance of John Kreese is the first information we have about his future since we saw Terry Silver arrest Kreese in the Season 4 finale. The trailer doesn’t reveal what will happen to him, but it leaves open what might happen when, or if, he gets out of jail.
“Cobra Kai” is a sequel to the “Karate Kid” franchise, with the focus on Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and John Kreese (Martin Kove). Over the seasons, several original characters have returned to show what they are like decades after the 1980s trilogy ended.
In season four, the highlight was the return of Terry Silver, played by Thomas Ian Griffith, who is now set to become next season’s villain. After Cobra Kai’s victory in the All-Valley Tournament, Silver wants to increase his dominance throughout California.
On the other hand, Daniel LaRusso and Chozen, played by Yuji Okumoto, try to take down Cobra Kai, while Johnny and Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) go on a mission to find Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña).
The fifth season of “Cobra Kai” arrives September 9 on Netflix.
