Brazil-Italy Heart Match will be dedicated to solidarity

Maracanã will welcome 3 thousand children in vulnerable situations

The heartfelt Brazil-Italy match, which will bring together former stars at the Maracanã on October 10 to celebrate the friendship between the two countries, will see the participation of around 3,000 children, adolescents and family members in situations of social vulnerability.

The initiative has the patronage of Enel Rio, in collaboration with the government of the State of Rio de Janeiro, and the institutional support of the Italian Embassy in Brasilia, with an estimated audience of 20 thousand people.

Among the confirmed exes are Júlio César, Cafu, Zico, Bebeto, Romário, Edilson, Júnior, Zinho, Maicon, Careca and Gerson, for Brazil, and Baggio, Panucci, Incocciati, Di Livio, Brio, Bruno Giordano, Altobelli, Materazzi, Cannavaro, Marco Amelia and Amoruso, for Italy.

The young people will be at the Maracanã thanks to the “Craque do Ajante” projects, created by former Flamengo player Ibson in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, and by the Escola de Lutas José Aldo, Brazilian UFC legend, and will be able to follow the match up close and participate in experiences that symbolize the transformative nature of this sport.

The “Craque do Ajante” project offers personal and professional development opportunities to children and adolescents aged between 8 and 17 and has units in São Gonçalo, Duque de Caxias and São Paulo.

In total, the initiative has already involved more than 3 thousand boys and girls and currently serves 750 students through football workshops, professional courses, English lessons and tutoring.
