The Bahian writer Itamar Vieira Juniorone of the greatest phenomena of national literature in recent decades has just been born Fearless hearta novel that concludes the Earth Trilogyit started with the best-seller Crooked plow (2019) and followed by Save the fire (2023). Unlike previous works, set in the hinterland and interior of Bahia, the new book transports the narrative to Salvador, the first urban environment explored by the author in his novels.

In an interview with EstadaoItamar Vieira Junior explains that the choice of Salvador was a natural and symbolic step towards the end of the trilogy. The author observes that previous narratives followed the course of the rivers: Crooked plow takes place between the Santo Antônio and Tinga rivers, which flow into Paraguaçu, the scene of Save the fire. In turn, the Paraguaçu River flows into the Baía de Todos-os-Santos, bringing history to the capital of Bahia.

Itamar Vieira Junior launches the book in Sao Paulo

Fearless heart will be inaugurated in Sao Paulo on October 25th, at 3pm, at the Estação Motiva Cultural, inside the Sala São Paulo (Praça Júlio Prestes, 16 – Campos Elísios).

On this occasion Itamar will speak with the journalist Adriana Ferreira Silva and then the singer Fabiana Cozza will do a pocket show. Tickets are free, but collection must be made starting October 22nd, via the Motiva Cultural website.
