What should we remember?

In its third week of release, one Paul Thomas Anderson fight after another has topped the French box office. Thanks to good word of mouth, the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio is approaching the symbolic million – which it will surpass in a few days.

It runs two new releases: Tomorrow Was Better and Tron: Ares. The French comedy with Didier Bourdon and Elsa Silberstein is off to a very modest start, averaging 17 viewers per screen. That’s even less for a Disney blockbuster, which averages 12 viewers per screen. A reception that echoes across the United States this weekend.

On the technical side, Jafar Panahi’s Palme d’Or A Simple Accident had a good second week with a 35% drop. The film will easily cross 500,000 receipts.
