Isabelle Hooper and Sandrine Kiberlen, headlining the same feature film! The two actors will star in Illustrious Unknown, a new feature film from Mark Fitus that explores behind-the-scenes cinema and the star system. The first official photo has just been released.

Isabelle Hooper plays Corinne McClue as an extra. He continues to shoot, tirelessly wandering around the set hoping to be noticed and finally get a real movie role. Annoying to some, passionate to others, Corinne hangs on and refuses to give up hope.

When he meets Sandrine Kiberlain (who plays himself), with whom he gradually becomes friends, Corin believes that he will finally achieve his dream: what if the famous actress allowed him to find a place in the great family of the seventh art? But Sandrine, admittedly, also has her problems. His agent and others criticize him for being down to earth and living too detached from reality. By interfering in Corinne’s daily life, she hopes to return to normal… Can they help each other?

Director Mark Fitussi shared the first official photo with the following caption:

The post-production of my new film, Illustrious Unknown, continues. Time for sound editing and calibration. As for the original music, it is by @bertrandburgalat. I can’t wait to show you all about it! #isabellehuppert #sandrinekiberlain #bertrandburgalat

The shooting of my new feature film will start tomorrow. It kind of ties back to my beginnings since my first film, La vie d’artiste, was already about an aspiring actress… Well, her name is Corinne McClue, and she basically earns her living as an extra…

This will also be my fourth collaboration with Isabelle Hooper and Sandrine Kiberlein, whom I am bringing together for the first time in front of my camera. They will be joined by tons of actors and actresses… Thanks to all these beautiful people for trusting me and to my lovely producer Caroline Bonmarchand for making this sweet dream a reality!

Isabelle Hooper will appear in Thierry Clifford’s The Richest Woman in the World next week on October 29 (interview above).

Sandrine Kiberlain was recently in Quentin Dupierre’s L’Accident de piano. The people involved in the report of Emmanuel Kurkol and Pierre Lotin are waiting for him in Bankis.

The two actors have already shared the credits for Serge Bozon’s Tip Top and Benoit Jacque’s La Fausse Sustine.

Mark Fitus, from the life of the artist to the unknown illustration

Illustrious Unknown — Mark Fitus’ 8th feature film. The latter also participated in the sketch film Selfie and worked on the series Dix pour cent and Ca c’est Paris (creator and director).

Let’s mention that Mark Fitus’ first feature film, La vie d’artiste, was already seen behind the scenes with Sandrine Kiberlain. Illustrated Stranger is also the title of one of his first short films.

The release date of Illustrious Unknown is not yet known. Filming took place last May-June.
