Popular singer and former “TheVoice” contestant Virginia Lillye has died after battling a serious illness
Singer Virginia Lilli, A participant in the ninth season of the Australian edition of ‘The Voice’, broadcast in 2020, died this Wednesday, 22/10, at the age of 56. The news was confirmed by Australian singer Don Spencer. According to the Daily Mail, the artist had been battling advanced-stage ovarian cancer for about two years.
“I am very sad to hear that the beautiful Virginia Lillye has lost her battle with cancer.”the friend complained. He then highlighted: “Virginia was not only an incredible talent, but also one of the loveliest people you could meet.”
How did you discover the disease?
Virginia, a participant in the ninth season of ‘The Voice Australia’ in 2020, received a cancer diagnosis in 2023. The suspicion arose during a holiday in Israel with her husband Julian, when the singer felt severe stomach pains. The diagnosis was confirmed in Sydney after tests were carried out.
On social media he shared with his fans the ups and downs in the fight against the disease. In fact, a month ago, he celebrated his good exam results. “I’m so happy and happy that everything is going well!!”he wrote then.
Shaken by the sad news, fans and friends paid tribute to Virginia. “It is very painful to hear of your departure, beautiful and talented Virginia. Virginia’s outburst
In one of her last posts, made on September 22, Virginia highlighted how her medical examination went. “The first [compromisso] Today there was a meeting with the radiation team. All systems go!! The tumor is very small and is in the middle of nowhere in my liver,” he said.
And he concluded with such good humor: “I’m so happy and satisfied that everything is going well!! Oh, and if you hadn’t noticed… Julian has dyed his hair and is now blonde!!”
