The actor Stellan Skarsgård revealed that his youngest son is bullied at school for being called a “Nepo darling”. The term, often used in a pejorative sense, combines expressions nepos (from the Latin, as in the word “nepotism”) and baby (“baby”, in English), alluding to the children of famous people who follow in their parents’ footsteps professionally, suggesting that they would have privileges for this (to find out more click here).
“I don’t recommend them at all. But my youngest son, Kolbjörn, 13, suffers from this. When his classmates at school call him nepo baby, he gets sad. He has no friends at school. He isolates himself. The children are cruel, cruel or ignorant,” he said.
