Tony Wendy, a former tennis star, married Margot because of her wealth. But recently he cheated on her with Mark Halliday, a young author of detective novels. Fearing that his wife will leave him and leave him penniless, Tony calls Captain Lesgate and orders him to kill Margo for a large sum of money.
