In the fight for SUVs up to R$150,000, the WR-V and Kardian cost the same; see what their differences are
We recently highlighted the rivalry between the medium SUVs VW Taos and Ford Territory, now it’s the turn of the compacts. Launched a few days ago, the Honda WR-V comes to bridge the gap between the City and its big brother HR-V. However, its more expensive version, EXLit costs the same as its rival Iconic Renault Kardianalso recently renovated. Which of the two is worth more?
Performance and consumption: SUVs go hand in hand
If the price is the same, the power of both is also the same. The WR-V has 126 HPexactly 1 hp more than the Kardian, if powered by ethanol. On petrol, however, the Renault’s mileage increases 120 HP against the same 126 HPFor example. However, when it comes to torque, the Kardian’s turbo package offers more: 22.4 kgmf in ethanol/20.4 kgmf in gasolineagainst 15.8 kgfm for ethanol/15.5 kgfm for petrol for Honda.
Moving on to consumption, the Kardian is in an improved position compared to the WR-V, but with a slight advantage. The petrol-powered Honda does 12 km/l in the city and 12.8 km/l on the highwayas Kardian catches up 12.8 km/l on urban routes and 13.9 km/l on motorways. With ethanol, Honda’s urban consumption decreases 8.2 km/l and 8.9 km/l, versus 8.8 km/l in the city and 9.7 km/l on the highway of Renault.
Dimensions and trunk
The Honda WR-V is larger in all dimensions than the Renault Kardian. The measurements of the Honda SUV 4.32 meters long, Width 1.79 m, 1.65 in height and it has wheelbase of 2.65 min addition to the offer 458 liter trunk.
The Kardian is more compact, with 4.12 meters long, Width 1.75 m, 1.54m tall AND Wheelbase 2.60 mwhile the the trunk has a capacity of 358 litres.

Furthermore, the novelty is the pedestrian and cyclist detection in the autonomous emergency braking system, as well as in the new multimedia system, 10?, in addition to the automatic high beam system.

Finally, the biggest similarity between the models is the price: R$149,990valid for both Iconic Renault Kardianregarding the Honda WR-V EXL. In a fight on equal terms like this, the priority of the owner will weigh, but also the use of the car, for example.
