American artist who in September released his fourth album Country! Country! surprises by revealing what he has been listening to recently
American singer and songwriter Hardycountry music sensation, surprised us by revealing what’s been trending on his playlist recently.
In an interview with Rolling Stone USAhe was asked what he has heard frequently. In his response, he mentioned a current metal band.
This is the Sleep Tokenoriginating from Londonin Englandand which was formed in 2016. The group has alternative, progressive, post-metal and indie metal influences.
In his response, Hardy stated (transcript via Metal Hammer):
“(About what you’re hearing) Me and everyone else in the world: Sleep Token. I love Sleep Tokenman. Sleep Token That’s the last thing I heard.”
Then, the country musician elaborated more about the English band:
“And if you don’t tell anyone what the genre is, just listen and evaluate, it’s original and cool. The melodies are awesome. He (Vessel) has a very original voice. There’s a big, weird sexual energy to a lot of them, which I think is super cool. The fact that they’re all anonymous and they’re in this scary shit is aesthetically really, really cool.”

THE Sleep Token has already released four albums, Even in Arcadia (2025) the most recent of them.
Hardy also released new material this year: Country! Country!his fourth studio album, came out at the end of September and reached number four on the US country chart.
