Kaamelott 2: Is Yven in the movie?

Spoilers – Warning, the article below contains potential spoilers. If you do not wish to know its contents, please do not read the following…

Kaamelott fans know him well! After book I of the famous series created by Alexandre Astier, Arthur’s son-in-law (because he is Guinevere’s little brother) made thousands of viewers laugh.

This slightly rebellious, slightly amorphous teenager, played by Simon Astier (Alexander’s half-brother) and often accompanied by his friend Gawain, but above all a complete idiot, is undoubtedly one of the funniest and most mythical characters to visit the kingdom of Logres.

Not part one!

We especially remember some of his hilarious lines like “I think I cut my chewing gum with a boiled piece”, “The hair on my legs really hurts” or even “Can we use it to give momentum to the pigeon?”

But much to the disappointment of many viewers, Yvain (aka The Lion Knight) was not among the characters in Kaamelott – the first installment, which hits theaters in 2021.

How delighted fans were when, after discovering the casting of the next two feature films a few months ago, they noticed that Simon Astier was back in the Camelot adventure!

where is iwen

Yes but… is Yvonne in the cinema from the first part of this second part (in theaters for a week)? Or do we have to wait for the next movie to find it? If you still haven’t found Arthur’s new adventure, I suggest you don’t read any further to preserve the surprise.

The answer is no! Ywen (and his interpreter Simon Astier) are not physically present in Camelot – Part Two. However, it is regularly discussed in the film. Indeed, when the new Knights of the Round Table share their quests, a small group of them, led by Gawain and consisting of Roustan and Trevor, decide to go in search of the Lion Knight, who has been missing for 10 years.

But at the end of the feature film, they return empty-handed. However, we can expect Yvain to finally make another appearance in the second installment, which hits theaters in November next year.
