The Walking Dead: Daryl spin-off might be coming to you!

Picture the scene: taking advantage of the beautiful sunny August days for a nature walk. When you unexpectedly, completely unexpectedly meet… Daryl Dixon, the main character of the Walking Dead!

Several residents of Auvers-sur-Oise (Val d’Oise) experienced this scene and crossed paths with American actor Norman Reedus at a table in a famous restaurant in the region. The latter is currently in France filming a new series of Walking Dead, which is entirely dedicated to his character Daryl.

The transfer of filming to Europe, while the Walking Dead series was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia in the US, led to the withdrawal of actress Melissa McBride, who was supposed to play the main role of the program with Norman Reedus. While it was already confirmed that the spin-off would take place in France, we didn’t know until then whether it would actually be shot in France or in another European country.

While The Walking Dead is wrapping up its eleventh season at the end of the year, several spin-offs have already been announced. In addition to the series on Daryl, Maggie and Negan will be the headliners of the island of the dead, which will take place in New York, and the movie dedicated to Rick Grimes (and Michonne) will eventually be a mini-series. Finally, the Tales of the Walking Dead anthology will bring back old faces from previous seasons and introduce new characters as well!
