The film “Enola Holmes 2,” the sequel to Netflix’s hit starring Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock Holmes’ young sister, has earned its official release date.
Netflix had already confirmed that “Enola Holmes 2” would arrive on the platform in 2022, but as the end of the year approaches, the stream has now announced a fixed date for the release of the film.
“Enola Holmes 2” will now arrive on Netflix on November 4, just over two years after the release of the first film in September 2020. Last Thursday, the film had already received the first official images, showing Millie Bobby Brown running for the streets of London, among other situations.
“Enola Holmes 2” will introduce several new characters, but some familiar faces will return. The story of Enola Holmes is based on a series of books by author Nancy Springer. The new film will take place in London, after Enola proves she is as good a detective as her famous brother, Sherlock, played by Henry Cavill.
Despite being set in Victorian England, director Harry Bradbeer, who also returns for the sequel, says he wants things a little different from the first film. “I wanted this story to be more courageous. I wanted to introduce her to the girls of the working class in a world of the working class ”.
In the sequel, Enola will open her own detective agency, following in Sherlock’s footsteps, and will find a young worker seeking help in finding his missing sister. But she ends up stumbling upon a dangerous mystery.
“Following in the footsteps of his brother, Enola Holmes is now a private investigator. In her first official case, she is hired to find a missing girl. But a dangerous conspiracy ignites a mystery that can only be solved with the help of friends and the famous Sherlock.
In addition to Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter returns as Eudoria Holmes, Enola’s mother, and Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury.
“Enola Holmes 2” is now officially slated to premiere on Netflix on November 4th.
