Las Vegas hosted another UFC event this Saturday (11/1). Tonight, several attractions and the main fight will involve featherweights seeking advancement within the organization, Steve Garcia and David Onama
The main event of the card was defined in the first round. Garcia, more offensive in the fight, had the better moments and took advantage of a sequence of punches to take down Onama and secure the knockout victory.
The fight
The main fight at UFC Vegas 110 began with the two fighters studying each other and trying to find the right balance in their striking. Garcia was the fighter who could throw the best punches, especially with the left, and used combinations well to annoy the Ugandan fighter.
Onama tried to react and tried to tame his rival, who went wild and was not intimidated by a possible reaction. The American continued to follow his attacking strategy and, with a good blow, knocked down his opponent, who attempted to resist by getting up.

UFC Vegas 110 had a large Brazilian presence, with two fights between national representatives. The first round was very balanced on the feet and the ‘Fenômeno’ had good chances in the final part, with a takedown that almost ended in a submission. Norma was better, trying more with her strikes and managing to use a takedown attempt from Ketlen to avoid another submission attempt. The girl from Minas Gerais controlled the final round, dictating the pace of the actions with her feet and without giving much space to the rider’s response. In the end he achieved his sixth consecutive victory and still has a ‘title shot’ in his sights.
Another clash between Brazilians saw Talita Alencar and Ariane Carnelossi in the lead. The fight started very competitively and with both fighters looking to place their respective bouts in the octagon. Against another American (Billy Elekana), Kevin Christian made his Ultimate debut and the Brazilian used low kicks well to disturb his rival early in the fight. Kevin tried to keep his distance, but Elekana took advantage of the opening for a strike that sent the rider to the floor. On the ground, he attempted the rear-naked choke and managed to submit, ending up “obliterating” the Brazilian. After realizing that there was no reaction or movement to indicate that the strike had ended the fight, the referee had to step in to end the fight.
