Brazilian striker Antony is having a great time wearing the Real Betis shirt and was the team’s highlight in the 11th round of La Liga. The number 7 scored a brace and was involved in the team’s third goal in the 3-0 win against Mallorca.

The player’s performance in the match allowed Antony to achieve a significant milestone in the club.

In just 35 games played since joining the club, the former Sao Paulo player has scored the same 14 goals as Denílson Show, a member of the Brazilian team that won their fifth world title.

The difference between them is only in the number of games played, as it took Denílson 196 games for the Spanish club to reach the same milestone.

Antony joined Manuel Pellegrini’s team on loan from Manchester United, in January this year, in the 24/25 season.

With nine goals and six assists in just 26 games, Antony stood out last season and Betis signed him permanently in September, for 25 million euros (around 159 million reais).

Since then, the Brazilian has continued to be one of the strong points of Real Betis and directly participate in the good campaign of the team, which occupies 5th place in La Liga and is fighting for a place in European competitions.
