This is December 2003. Starring in SWAT Elite Unit with Colin Farrell, Samuel L. Jackson is in France to meet with the French press and discuss the release of this new action feature.
Mezrah v. Samuel L. Jackson
Everything is going well for him until he crosses paths with a “journalist” like no other, completely unknown to American stars, but well known to the French public of the 90s. Dressed in his timeless brown sweater and green tie, with his notebook, pen and legendary patters, he is clearly Raphael Mezrah.
Posing as a real journalist, this comedian and actor has ensnared many French personalities with his inimitable talent for improvisation and extraordinary ability to create embarrassment… but also several Hollywood actors.
In addition to Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, Tom Hanks and George Clooney, Mezrahi took 3 minutes and 30 seconds. Samuel L. Jackson.
“I love you and I love SWAT”
In this short anthology moment, we can hear him talking about his cousin Dolores Bootbull (nicknamed “La Gambas”) with an American actress, bewildered and amused. He then explains to her that he really liked SWAT and that he managed to watch the movie without falling asleep!
“I’m glad I woke you up.”The star answers at the end of the interview, after having to recount his last vacation in front of an empty chair (Mezrah went to the toilet after asking him the last question).
“So I love you and I love SWAT”“Journalist” concludes, ending the moon video that we never tire of rediscovering.
