‘365 days’, 365 days: That day’ and ‘365 more days’ have not exactly been well received by critics but the Netflix audience continues to support Laura and Massimo. Will there be a fourth part?
When we saw ‘365 days’ we said that it was not only bad, but that it romanticized abuse. When we found out it was going to have two sequels, we said that was “wrong”. The second came, ‘365 days: That day’ and we wrote that it was even worse than the first. But here we are, the weekend that the third and final announced installment has arrived on Netflix, ‘365 more days’ and yes, we are already wondering about a fourth. For those softporn fans who don’t dare to look in other more sincere pages or those who, no matter how bad the movie is, are already hooked on the story of Laura and Massimo, or on the bodies of Anna-Maria Sieklucka and Michele Morrone , the fourth part may be a reality. And it is that no matter how much the critics, the media or even its viewers do not reflect a better opinion of them in social networks and online voting, if there is an audience that sees it, there will be those who produce it.
Although the first installment was faithfully based on the novels by Blanka Lipinska, the second and third installments deviated quite a bit, until reaching a completely different end of the announced trilogy that already announces that Netflix has taken another path, and that it can continue it without the books. Still unconfirmed, after all, the third installment has just been released, this is all we know about this possible sequel.
‘365 days 4’: Release date
As we have said, the film has not been confirmed so we enter the complete field of interpretation. However, we can look at the release and production time of the previous three. Despite the fact that ‘365 days’ arrived on Netflix in 2020, it took 2 years to release its prequel. However, between the second and third installments only four months have passed. This is because the two sequels were shot back to back, so we can almost consider them parts of the same movie.
Bearing in mind that two years passed between the first and second, a space more similar to what there would be now given that the project would still have to be confirmed and pre-produced, we do not believe that we will see the film until 2024. However, if the project was already clear in the shadows, despite not being publicly known, it could also arrive in 2023.
As usual on Netflix, we will have to wait for the 28 days of courtesy to assess the performance of the end of the trilogy and make decisions.
‘365 days 4’: Cast
It couldn’t be a movie from the ‘365’ saga if Anna-Maria Sieklucka didn’t repeat it as Laura and Michele Morrone as Massimo. The third protagonist of the saga has ended up being Nacho, played by Simone Susinna. Although depending on the approach the trilogy takes, they could continue to give importance to their character or focus on new characters. Magdalena Lamparska could also return as Laura’s best friend and confidante and Otar Saralidze as Domenico, Olga’s fiancé and Massimo’s right-hand man.
Perhaps the fourth installment will increase the weight of Laura’s family in the plot, so we could go back to her parents, Klara and Tomasz, played by Ewa Kaspryk and Dariusz Jakubowski.
‘365 days 4’: Plot
Here we can only imagine what the story can bring us after the end of the third installment. Laura sleeps with Nacho on the beach, but when she returns with Massimo, he receives her calmly. Massimo confesses that he is devastated by the loss of her son but tells Laura that he will not stop her if she wants to go with someone else:
If you really love something, just let it go. If it comes back, it’s yours forever. If it doesn’t, it was never meant to be.
After that, the film leaves us with a question mark, because Laura tells Massimo that he will be a wonderful father “one day”. He asks her: Are you back, honey?” And that’s where the film ends. The sequel will have to pick up on that, and confirm if Laura decides from then on between Nacho and Massimo.
This time there is no book by Blanka Lipinska that is worth, at least for now, to give us clues about the story. However, considering that the ending of the third film is very different from the books, we doubt that it can continue to be a solid base. The only thing we can imagine is that there will be a lot of sex between various characters, not everything will be couple drama and breakups…
