The fourth season of “Sex Education” won an official synopsis revealing the name of the characters’ new high school and detailing the difference between the two institutions. It also confirms that Otis (Asa Butterfield) and Maeve (Emma Mackey) will be separated in the new chapters.
It’s just that while Otis goes to Cavendish Sixth Form College, Maeve will go to an American college, which accepted her at the end of last season, right after they finally got together.
“In America, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, under the guidance of cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis pines for her as she gets used to not being the only child at home, or the only therapist on campus. “, states the synopsis.
At his college, “Otis is nervous about opening his new clinic, while Eric prays they will no longer be losers,” describes the text.
“But Cavendish is a culture shock to all of Moordale’s students – they thought they were progressive, but this new college is on another level,” adds the synopsis.
The new season will be a sort of reboot of the series, due to the departure of the cast members and the arrival of news, which reflect the change of school of the characters.
Due to this transition, actresses Simone Ashley (Olivia), Rakhee Thakrar (Professor Sands), Patricia Allison (Ola) and Tanya Reynolds (Lily) will not appear in the new episodes and their absences will be explained in the context of the plot. The idea is that not all students will go to Cavendish College.
Among the novelties, the biggest highlight is the addition of Dan Levy, star and award-winning creator of “Schitt’s Creek”, to the cast of the attraction. Levy will play Thomas Molloy, Maeve’s tutor in her new school.
The creator, writer and executive producer of “Sex Education” Laurie Nunn continues to lead the series, which was renewed in September last year and does not yet have a date to start airing its new episodes.
