The cast and creator of “The Boys” shared posts on social media to announce the start of work on the fourth season of the series.
Producer Eric Krypke posted on his Twitter account a photo of the first episode script cover, titled “Department of Dirty Tricks”, accompanied by the caption “Day One”.
Jack Quaid, the interpreter of Hughie, celebrated the return to the set with a photo from the inaugural season of the series. “Today we started work on Season 4. This photo is from the first day the boys were on set as a team during Season 1. These people (the rest of the cast and crew included) really changed my life in better. so lucky and grateful to be able to start this journey over with the people who have become family to me. I can’t wait for all of you to see what we came up with. It’s season 4 time! Let’s do it !!! ” he has written.
Homeland captain Anthony Starr added, “A long time ago we started … now season four. Holy cow juice! We’ve come a long way and the world has gone mad in the middle of it. (It probably still is.) But here we are. 4. I am so grateful to be a part of this team and to the fans for their support. We will continue to strive to put on the best possible show for you. Now is the time to get down to business. “
Season 4 will focus on Homeland’s influence on his son Ryan, played by Cameron Crovetti. The young actor was promoted to a series regular in new episodes, following his impactful appearance in last season’s finale.
Other new additions to the season are actresses Valorie Curry (“The Folowing” and “The Lost Symbol”) and Susan Heyward (“Powers” and “Orange Is the New Black”).
Valorie Curry will play a character called Firecracker, while Susan Heyward will play Sister Sage. Both characters have heroin names, but there are no further details on their participation in the plot.
It is not yet known when “The Boys” season 4 will premiere.
