September 23: Athena
Athena, Romain Gavras’ third feature, is a contemporary Greek tragedy set in the suburbs. Recalled from the front after the death of his younger brother, who died as a result of alleged police interference, Abdel sees his family torn apart. Between his younger brother Karim’s desire for revenge and his older brother, dealer Moktar’s threatened business, he tries to calm the tension.
Minutes later, the city of Athena is transformed into a fortified fortress, the scene of a family and collective tragedy. Just when everyone thinks they’ve found the truth, the city descends into chaos… The cast notably includes Dali Bensalah, Anthony Bajon, Sami Slimani, Ouassini Embarek, Alexis Manenti, Birane Ba, Meriam Sbia and Yassin. September 28: Blonde
Adapted from Joyce Carol Oates’ bestseller, Blonde is a bold reinterpretation of Marilyn Monroe’s trajectory. Andrew Dominik’s film traces his life from his turbulent childhood to his meteoric rise through his complicated love stories. Between reality and fiction, the blonde divides her personality, public and intimate, who went from Norma Jeane to Marilyn.
Actress Ana de Armas was chosen to embody the Hollywood icon. He is surrounded by Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody and Julianne Nicholson. Blonde has been waiting for more than two years because it was suspended due to very graphic scenes. The public will eventually be able to discover it, but the film is banned for children under 17 on the other side of the Atlantic.

Inspired by a true story, Under the Influence risks thalassophobes (people who are afraid of the deep) breaking out into a cold sweat. David Rosenthal’s film tells the story of Pascal Gauthier, the World Champion of Unlimited Freediving. When Roxana meets him, she falls madly in love.
But this relationship, punctuated by competition for dive sites around the world, pushes its limits and the mechanisms of this passionate relationship consume it. Starring: Sofiane Zerman, Camille Rowe, Zachary Chacerio, Cesar Domboy, Laurent Fernandez and Jonas Dinal.
